1/12/14 Update from Tami:
A small blessing today. The new anti nausea meds seem to be helping Alyssa. Instead of vomiting at least every hour she is now vomiting every 2-3 hours. (Like I said, small blessing) This is in no way an improvement in her condition but it has allowed Alyssa to get a little bit of rest.
The plan, as of now, is to get Alyssa to Houston tomorrow but it could be later in the week due to getting approval from insurance and coordinating the cardiac team that will go with her. All of the details are being finalized. Tina will be accompanying Alyssa and Jeff will follow shortly after to get them settled.
The flight itself is very dangerous for someone who is as critical as Alyssa but there is nothing else that can be done for her here. She needs to be in Houston so she can get a new heart and lungs.
Please continue to pray for Alyssa and her family! I will continue to update her condition as soon as possible.
Any future prayers & thoughts will be greatly appreciated by the family!!
Thank you to all of those who have already commented and continue to do so. I intend to compile a list of all of the comments & prayers for the family so that they can see how far reaching prayer can be.
Don’t forget to tell your loved ones that you love them. A single heartbeat is all that is takes to change your life forever.
